Tired of Ignorance of the Older Generation  
GET OVER IT ALREADY!!!  I am so tired of hearing the older generation talk about not mixing races and that it's wrong....IT'S NOT WRONG AND NO YOU WILL NOT FIND IT IN THE BIBLE and NO you will not be able to show it to me ANYWHERE that it is wrong for me to date or marry outside my race!! This is not the 1930's this is 2011 get over it or get out YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE the fact that people are GOING TO MIX RACES and it is perfectly fine!!!

My grandfather W Fondren is a pure and HATEFUL racist and he along with any other human being that thinks this way should move to another country....or maybe start your own little secluded island and get the hell out of the USA and leave happy well to do people alone!!!!! Ok thats my rant for today.....just sick of pure ignorance....He has proven to me that wisdom does not come with age!!!

I would make it a law that people could not form "cover bands" to make a living.  To me if you are a true musician you can create your own music and you don't need someone elses "already famous" music to make your living.  By allowing cover bands to exist it takes away from the musician who created the music as well as up and coming original artist with original music.

Is anyone else tired of real musicians not being noticed  

Wow....am I the only one tired of people who can't really sing or rap being discovered and making millions in the industry?!?!
I love music and I would really like to see real music with great lyrics come back to the radio instead of songs that have 10 words said over and over thru out the entire song....Seriously...I don't get it....
I have been a long time fan of a band called Storage 24, (www.storage24.org), this band has some awesome songs and they are original songs written by lead vocalist Baby Phred who is one heck of a frontman....his lyrics speak from experience and he sings with heart.... fans can relate to the words of the songs Storage 24 sings and for me much of the music on the radio is lacking this.

One of my favorite songs by Storage 24 is called "Absence"

"I thought I'd never see me breathing without you"

"I thought I'd never go one day living without you"

"I thought my life would end if you were not there beside me"

"But little did I know you would be the one to hurt me"

These are lyrics that speak to me and would probably speak to anyone who has ever been in a relationship.

Then another song they have that I really like is called "Addiction" which you can hear on their website at www.storage24.org or on their myspace at www.myspace.com/storage24live

This song is so cool....the way it is written is as if the drug is talking to the person abusing it. The drug is telling you its taking over your mind and body and that you won't be able to control it. This song would speak to anyone who has ever used or had a friend that used and got out of control with it. It's a very creative song that many can relate to. And what makes it even more creative is that the frontman has never used drugs or even drank alcohol in his life, he prides himself on being a leader and not a follower of peer pressure. Now this is a band I can respect and would love to see make it and be able to turn on the radio and hear their music. They have what I call real talent, real lyrics and some really great rockin music!

Those are my thoughts for today. If you read this i hope you will take a second to check these guys out....I don't think you will regret it! MOG it up and tell your friends.

(no subject)  

Ok, have you listened to the radio lately?!?!  Seems like everyone copies everyone and songs are starting to sound alike or either they have no meaning! 

I remember when music had meaning and you would listen because you liked the words of a song or could relate to what the song was saying.  Record lables are falling everyday because they are signing so many one hit wonders!  That is the very reason I support indie music so much!  Seems to me I find better music on sites where the musicians are not even signed and most never even heard of.

I love rock music and one of my favorite bands is Breaking Benjamin and I love Linkin Park as well, both of these groups seem to have kept their originality and I can relate to the words of their songs!  I also found a great indie rock band by the name of Storage 24 and let me say they are one of the most original bands I have come across from their look to their music they are different.  They are more like a rock band with a fusion of hip-hop and rap but you cant really compare them to any other group b/c their sound is unlike any I have ever heard!!  Amazing!! 

I would love to see more bands take that leap of faith and branch out to be different, its much harder work and tougher to get out there and be heard but in the end you are much more likely to be appreciated as a musician instead of following every other artist and trying to fit in.  I just bought Storage 24's new album off iTunes and wow....I am far from disappointed!! I just hope these guys will get heard by the right ears and get to the top because the world deserves to hear some good ole original rock music!!!

Bringing "original" back to music
